Paul Smith is another major major major favorite of mine from the Spring collections. There's pretty much nothing in this collection I wouldn't wear, but the top three looks are my favorites. It pretty much has it all: menswear, polka dots, psychedelic marble-roll paisley print, slouchy sweaters, silk... too good to be true. I thought this collection was a wonderful departure from his last, which relied heavily on quirk (there was a floral afghan dress that while kind of cool, left me scratching my head).
While it may be a little cliche to bring up Katherine Hepburn and "menswear-inspired fashion" in the same sentence, I can't help but think that she would have really rocked these pieces. I watched "Desk Set" last night (another movie I highly recommend, read more here), and the clothes were simply beyond. This is the kind of stuff that makes me sigh a wistful sigh...

Once again, your aesthetic shines through! I am DYING for those parachute pants! That all-white jumper is so crisp and sharp, too. The Hepburn reference is definitely spot-on, even with the messy topside buns and bouffants.
